Nelson Gardner (GTI President) graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) in 1972. After being employed as a Design Engineer by Optronic Laboratories and Test Engineer and Engineering Manager by Gould Incorporated, Nelson joined G&P in 1987. Over a ten year period, he successfully expanded the company into eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, southern New York and Delaware. As an equity partner in Gans & Pugh Associates, Nelson relocated to Maryland in 1997. At that time his responsibilities included Maryland, the District of Columbia, and Virginia.

Charlie Pugh graduated from the Johns Hopkins University with a Bachelor of Engineering Science (BES) degree in 1968. He worked for the Thiokol Chemical Corporation, Rocket Engineering Department, taught high school physics in Baltimore County, sold copiers for Xerox, and sold graphic computers for Tektronix. He served in the United States Army Reserve, and received an honorable discharge in 1975. Charlie joined manufacturer's representative Gans & Pugh Associates in 1978 as a sales engineer, and retired from that company in January 2003. He joined GTI in February 2003.

Communication of these needs and trends provides invaluable insight for manufacturers so they can maintain their position of leadership in their fields.

Gardner Technologies Inc. was founded in 2000 by Nelson Gardner, its president. GTI serves the mid-Atlantic region and represents manufacturers in the instrumentation marketplace.
